Can we hire you as soon as we get engaged or should we wait?
As soon as you get engaged is recommended. Dates are booked well in advance and the sooner we begin planning, the better! We recommend booking as soon as you have selected a date.

A event planner can save you time spent researching and planning. A event planner can also help you prioritize your vendors, get your budget in order, provide qualified vendor referrals, accompany you to vendor meetings and know what questions to ask, review vendor contracts, negotiate on your behalf, and save you money. Not to mention, a event plannerprovides creative décor and design ideas! And that final month prior to your wedding, a event planner will confirm your vendors, make a timeline, run your rehearsal, and be there to make sure that you, your family, and friends enjoy a totally stress-free day!
The Venue has a coordinator, do I need a planner?
Yes! On-site venue ‘wedding planners’ do not actually assist you in the planning of your wedding, outside of making sure the reception site is staffed, food and beverage is provided and the décor you provide is set up. And even then, depending on the scope of your décor, you may have to provide the venue with assistance in helping them set it up. Taking the reins comes easy to a professional planner. They say they have a list of “vendors” they can recommend to you so you don’t have to shop around. The truth is most of these vendors pay to be placed on their list, are not the caliber of vendors you need on your special day, or they are not the perfect vendor for you and your style. Brides and grooms are often misled by the terminology the venues use. The reality is, the on-site “event/wedding planner” should be called the “venue event manager,” as that is their true role.
Therefore, their focus is going to be on their staff, the kitchen, the food presentation, the stock, the set-up, the break down and those types of details. They are not going to meet with your vendors with you to ensure you ask all the right questions; they will not be calling your vendors to make sure they are paid and confirmed; they will not be doing your running for you; they will not be at your home or Bridal Suite making sure you have plenty to eat and drink, distributing flowers, sewing something that has gone wrong with the dresses, etc. They will not be at your Rehearsal to ensure the ceremony runs smoothly. We could go on and on, but most importantly, they will not have developed a personal relationship with you like we will. We believe the trust that is built during the planning process with uscarries over into a relaxed enjoyable wedding day. What wedding planning services do you offer?
Full Service Planning
We get this question all the time; what are the differences with Wedding Planning Services?
Today is your lucky day because we are going to break down the three most common services you can get from any wedding planner. However, each planner does things differently and may offer different things then another planner will offer.
Full-Service wedding Planning:
It is your planner’s responsibility for keeping everyone on tract with planning. Your planner will be guiding you throughout your entire process. She will attend all vendor meetings. Your planner may even work with you on your design part. Some planners may offer another service for design or add it with full service. Your planner will become your best friend and also your right hand girl. We hope this helps all brides who are trying to figure out if they need a planner and what type of services they will need as well. We highly recommend that every bride should always have at least Month-Of planner. Having your planner around on your wedding day will take away so much stress from you, your mother and the wedding party. As a bride, you will be able to enjoy your day with your closet family and friends!
Do you charge an initial consultation?
Yes, the fee is $75
Do you require a deposit? Is it refundable?
We do require a non-refundable deposit; usually it is 20% of your proposal amount.

How much communication will we have?
We offer unlimited phone and email support. You can call and email as often as you’d like and, if we are unavailable, it’s our policy to get back to you within 48 hours.
Will I have a day of coordinator at my wedding/event?
Yes! A LuX Consultant will be readily available the day of your event.
Will I lose control of my own wedding after hiring a Coordinator?
Definitely not! Your wedding is YOUR event, not ours. We are there to help and guide you through the planning process, not to take over. We will give you as much or as little help as you want.
Are wedding planners only for the rich and famous?
Wedding planners is the fact that weddings are becoming so bespoke. Couples see so many ideas now on social media and they don’t want the cookie cutter wedding that everyone used to have 10 years ago. With so many Pinterest and Instagram images, it can become overwhelming. Couples want to create a wedding day that shows who they are, their personalities and what they love. They want their own stamp on this day that is all about them and their relationship. Planners know how to take those unique traits and passions of each couple and design a wedding day that shows them off. A planner lives and breathes weddings and will always be looking to do something different and unique so can bring hundreds of ideas to the table but after getting to know a couple, will also know which ideas are the right ideas for that particular couple.
How will you save us money? Can you advise us on where best to spend our money?

Not only will we create a customized budget for you based on our expertise on wedding costs and your spending priorities, but we will also help you track it and make sure you stay within your budget. We can also offer budget-friendly tips and alternatives that can help you achieve the same look and feel you want but at a price point you can swallow.

Are you available to negotiate with vendors we may have already chosen?
Of course we are able to work with any one whom you may have already chosen. As far as negotiating with them, if you have already signed a contract with them, it may be a bit difficult for us to change items or pricing on the contract but we’ll see what we can do.
